Why it matters
Many free QR sites encode their own short link rather than yours, so the code stops working when the free trial ends or the service closes, and every scan is tracked by someone else. A QR code is just a pattern for some text: it never needs a middleman.
This generator encodes exactly what you type, on your device. Add UTM tags and each scan shows up as a campaign in your own analytics, so you can tell whether the flyer or the shop window worked.
How to use it
- Choose what the code should open and fill in the details.
- Optionally add UTM tags, colours or a logo.
- Check any warnings: keep dark modules on a light background with strong contrast.
- Download the SVG for print or a PNG for screens, and test it with two phones.
FAQ
Will the code stop working?
No. It contains your link directly, so it works for as long as the link does. Nothing here can expire or be switched off.
How big should I print it?
At least 2 cm across, larger if people scan from further away: roughly 1 cm for every 10 cm of scanning distance. Keep the white border (quiet zone).
Which error correction should I pick?
M for most uses. H if you add a logo or the code might get scratched or dirty. Higher levels make the pattern denser.
Is my Wi-Fi password sent anywhere?
No. The code is drawn in your browser.
