What it is
quietstats is website analytics that gives you the numbers most sites need (visitors, pageviews, where people came from, what they read and whether they stayed) without cookies, without a cookie banner and without storing anyone's IP address.
You add one line to your site and the dashboard starts filling up. This site uses it, and so does every other site I run, which is why you'll see the "No cookies · quietstats" badge in their footers.
Who it's for
Owners of websites, from a one-page site to a small business with several, who want clear numbers without asking visitors for consent first. I've kept the dashboard simple enough for people who aren't technical, and there's a free plan for a single small site.
What it does
- Live visitors and trendsWho's on the site now, plus bold charts for any date range, compared with any other.
- Sources, including AISearch, social, email and paid, with ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Copilot and Grok as their own channel.
- CampaignsUTM tags and email campaigns, so you can see which newsletter or post actually worked.
- Goals and alertsPage, event and click goals, spike alerts that say why, and your own rules.
- Every site in one viewA combined trend and each site's share of the traffic, for people with several sites.
- Your data, your wayA Stats API, CSV and Excel downloads, and imports from Plausible and GA4.
Why I built it
Most sites only need a handful of honest numbers: how many people came, what they read, where they came from and whether they stayed. You shouldn't need cookies, banners or a data-hungry tag to get them.
I wanted those numbers for my own sites, with charts that are a pleasure to look at, so I built quietstats, moved my sites over to it and opened it up to everyone else.
How it's built
quietstats runs on a Cloudflare Worker with its data in Cloudflare D1, using a Western Europe location. The tracking script is 845 bytes, 476 bytes to download (measured 21 October 2026), and stores nothing on the visitor's device: no cookies, no local storage.
The server sees the IP address and browser only in memory, to make a hash with a salt that changes daily and is deleted after a day; neither is stored. Country comes from the network edge, not an IP lookup. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are respected. Paid plans are billed through Stripe.
Where it is now
Live since 20 October 2026. It tracks my own sites, with their earlier history imported back to May 2023. The pricing page lists a free plan for one site and paid plans from £5 a month, and every plan has every feature.
