What it is
leejohnson.it is where my Apple work lives. It covers the apps I've built for Apple Watch and iPhone, the websites I run, the technical articles I've written and a Swift reference, with a contact form for anyone who wants to work with me.
Who it's for
Businesses and people looking for an Apple developer, especially for watchOS, and developers who want a quick Swift reference with examples they can copy.
What it does
- +MetricTimeAn Apple Watch take on decimal timekeeping.
- bPositive220 motivational quotes that appear on your Apple Watch every hour from 8am to 9pm.
- Tipple UnitsTracks alcohol units against UK government guidelines and estimates a safe driving time. Coming soon.
- +StromaNotesVoice and text notes made for the Apple Watch. In production.
- AiCuttrA small macOS app that filters AI-generated content out of search results. In testing.
- Swift referencesAn A to Z of Swift and SwiftUI terms with clear definitions and code examples.
Why I built it
I specialise in watchOS and iOS, and I wanted one place that shows that work properly: what each app does, where it's up to, and how to get hold of me. It also gave me somewhere to write up what I learn and keep a Swift reference I actually use.
How it's built
The site is PHP 8 with shared includes, plain HTML and CSS, and vanilla JavaScript, hosted on SiteGround. The contact form is protected with CSRF tokens, honeypot fields, rate limiting and input sanitisation. It has a light and dark theme, an animated terminal, a quotes overlay and a few easter eggs, and its analytics are cookie-free.
Where it is now
Live, and I'm available for hire. Some of the apps on it are released, and others are marked as coming soon, in production or in testing.
